The FA5

Met up with some 8thers today for a beach run with the local Honda-tech crew. Buhhhh, what a bunch of crappy cars. Got stuck on the highway on the way out to the beach because one of the Honda-tech guys ran into two other cars while doing a burnout on the side of the highway. I took some pix of us all sitting on the highway in a dead stop for 15 minutes. Everyone was out of their cars and wandering around...lol.

We got fed up with their antics and broke off on our own journey. Ended up in Rockaway at Arlo's beach house.

Installed my GO Power header and Full Race exhaust today. Definitely a LOT of work to do by yourself. I am very very sore...lol.

Decided to paint the muffler flat black. I never liked how the muffler looked shiny behind the bumper on the FG2, so I decided to fix that before installing it on the FA5. Now the only part that's shiny from outside the car is the tip, just as it should be.

Also changed the oil for the first time, capped off the AAV, and put in NGK BKR8EIX plugs in preparation for the next big mod to come... ;-)

Adam and I decided to go to this spot he found in PDX and attempted to shoot The FA5 in the dusk light. It definitely proved challenging. I have a few decent shots but these are the only ones I'm really pleased with.

Arlo, his wife, Austin and I met up and went for a drive out to the gorge today.

Cleaned up my GO Power coilovers and installed them as well as my 23mm Cusco RSB. Just couldn't help myself.

While waxing the car for the first time, I noticed that the door pillars weren't painted or plastic, but were in fact covered in vinyl and had paint on them... insanity insued.

Decided I was bored and wanted to tinker with the Si, big surprise.... well I figured I'd fiddle with the spark plug cover since it's a small piece and could use some pep. I took my time and did a 4 stage paint process on it.

Turns out, tuning a stock Si is more tedious than I expected. You'd think the damned basemaps would just work since well, it's STOCK....lol.

Traded in the Si today for...... another Si. This one a 2011, 4 door. We decided it was time.
