2-22-2011 - This car hates me

This is truly turning into a hate / hate relationship. The car did some weird stuff today, on the freeway under heavy load in 4th gear, it surged for a second and then had no power. I coasted for a bit and then was able to get some power back and gently guided her to my destination.

On the way back it did it again when passing some traffic, no power again, and the car died. I coasted to a parking lot, tried starting it again.... engine shuttered, rattled, made terrible sounds of clunking and squeaking. I turned it off and walked away.

Got a ride to work from Tony, went back later with the truck and towed her home.

This type of behavior is something I've never experienced before from a vehicle. I am aptly freaked out. So, I have torn the engine apart looking for a cause. Guess what? Since the car hates me, it has given me no clues. I literally can find no reason for it's stupidity. SO FRUSTRATING.
