12-6-09 - Day 5 - Are we there yet?

Wow, could it really be done? Time will tell.

Adam and Vit stopped by to help today. Vit setup the tune for the car and helped me troubleshoot some other issues.

Ended up with a bitch ass coolant leak on the back side of the turbo, I replaced the clamp for the hose. Seems to be holding now, will have to keep an eye on it.

We drove the car around a bit without the bumper on to test her out. That's when we found the coolant leak.... but not before we found out that the wastegate is set to 10psi.... LMAO. Good thing I bought Vit's RC550's a month ago, the 370's would have run out of fuel. As it is now, the 550's were keeping the car in the mid 11's on AFR. Didn't really take it to redline though. Don't need to, lots of torque over 4k now.... WIN. I have no traction in 2nd gear now.... 3rd and 4th pulled nice though.

Really didn't get to drive it much due to the coolant leak, hopefully that's taken care of and tomorrow I can do some good tuning/datalogging.

Got the projectors installed, but didn't wire up the ballasts, will do that tomorrow night after work. Didn't want to pull the bumper again so I just slapped them on there.
