1-31-2011 - Tranny fluid change, filling the torque mounts
I don't like the way this car shifts. It can be hard to get into 1st and reverse, and it frequently grinds 3rd with even the slightest amount of spirited driving. Decided the first order of business regarding that was a fluid change. Got the OEM green label good stuff. Put the car up in the air for the first time....woooo. Changed the fluid without a hitch.
While I was under there I decided to inspect things. Well, as you can see, both CV's are way gone. Also, the driver's side front engine mount was torn completely through in 2 places. We had some left over window weld from the Teg's engine bay tuck, so I decided to use it up and fill both of the front torque mounts.
I also saw that the bushing for the shifter brace was literally missing. Like it had disintegrated and gone bye bye. That could definitely account for some of the sponginess when shifting. Onto the vast list of needed parts it goes.
