1-28-2011 - Headlight restoration

The headlights looked terrible to me. Decided to pick up this 3m headlight restoration kit and give it a shot. The results are decent in comparison to where they started. I have to say it requires a LOT of patience, a lot more than I had at the time. The other thing that drove me mad was the little foam pad liked to wisk rubbing compound all over me and the garage. So annoying. I had to wipe down the entire car and engine bay twice! ugh.

The kit, got it at autozone for $24
Nice hazy light, awesome grainy yellowing in the middle.
I already tried wet sanding this one and it turned out crappy. That's what prompted me to try this kit

Drivers side headlight polished / waxed.
Stil have to do the left one, the difference in clarity is quite obvious
Passenger side done, still need to wax it. This one could use a bit more time on the buffing side, but it's good enough for now.
